Easter

This year we had a great time decorating Easter Eggs and discovering what the tricky bunny had done with them Easter morning! Ashton had also learned the Easter story in primary and was able to tell us all about it! His narrative of the stone being rolled away from the tomb was priceless! I'm so happy to have Christian traditions and the knowledge of the Savior's sacrifice for us!

Irresistable

Who can say no to a puppy?...or better yet, who can say no to a son who wants to save a puppy? Certainly no one in my family can! My brother Geoffrey found this little girl at a farm in a barn where 3 other puppies had died from the cold. He couldn't resist and begged and cried for her until my parents agreed to let him have her. Why was it such a tough desicion? Because A: The family dog Buddy just passed away barely a month ago, and B: Geoffrey leaves on his mission in 3 month's time! Molly sure is cute and sweet, hope she stays that way!

Loss of a Companion

Oh how hard it is to lose a pet. Our family pet Buddy Shiloh had to be put to sleep. After suffering from kidney failure and cancer he reached a point where we knew it was time. It was so hard to watch our friend slowly deteriorate, and even harder to hold him in our arms as he slipped away forever.

Our family decided to get Buddy for my special needs brother Chase as a companion dog. Buddy went through special training and was eventually certified to work in public with my brother. He wore a special vest and could go anywhere as long as he had it on. We got a larger animal since we knew my brother would be rough with it, and he was, but Buddy tolerated it all like a champ! We will surely miss our loyal friend and companion.
