Cokeville, WY

On our way up to Cokeville Wyoming for the annual 24th of July celebration!

First thing in the morning is the parade put on by the "townspeople"!
All homemade floats and costumes!

Following the parade each year is the LDS church devotional,
where apostles are known to be special guest speakers!

A trip to Cokeville isn't complete with out a little shooting!

I love me some RODEO! The rodeo up in Cokeville is similar to the Oakley Rodeo in Utah, but this is Wyoming, so the cowboys and cowgirls are real! Plus it's even better when you're boyfriend is related to the majority of the Rodeo participants! A rodeo isn't a rodeo without some bull riding! Yee-haw!

(he's got his "cowboy hat" on...)

And finally, Church in Cokeville... Aaron is in his element fishing in the beautiful river surrounded by the gigantic pines, clear water and still air. I had an amazing experience walking down the road that follows the river, observing God's creations, set to my Sunday music playlist on my ipod. I could do that every day for the rest of my life. Absolutely serene.

We had a great time! Can't wait for next year's celebration!
Thank you Char for being our host!

"If it walks like a duck...

...quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck!"

...and yes, I picked one up.

My Country tis of Thee

We celebrated the 4th of July this year up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Aaron surprised us and planned out a picnic lunch! The weather was wonderful, the scenery was gorgeous, the food was delicious, wildlife was sparse...but the company was perfect! Good thing we decided to finally bring a camera with us on one of our many adventures! The only problem is that mom gets a little distracted taking photos of the wilderness.

Happy 4th of July!
